One Dog Year Doesn’t Really Equal Seven Human Years
You’ve probably heard every year for a dog equals seven ‘human years.’ But, according to scientists who looked at the DNA of Labrador Retrievers, there’s a new formula. They say a one-year-old dog actually compares to a 30-year-old human and a four-year-old dog is more like a 52-year-old. When dogs turn seven, the rate starts decreasing. It’s not a quick an easy formula but, experts think it’s more accurate.
