Governor McMaster Bans Sale of Alcohol in Bars, Restaurants After 11 P.M.
Yesterday DHEC confirmed coronavirus cases statewide have reached 50,548. The death toll has also been confirmed to be 898 people. During today’s press conference, Governor Henry McMaster issued an executive order called Last Call which prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages after 11 p.m. in all South Carolina restaurants and bars starting tomorrow until further notice. The order does not apply to alcohol sold at convenience stores, grocery stores, wine and liquor stores and retail businesses. Warnings will be issued to violators and repeat offenders could have their beer, wine or liquor licenses suspended. Fortunately, the order does not prohibit restaurants and bars from serving food after 11.
