Three South Carolina State Prison Inmates Die After Contracting COVID-19

Three South Carolina State Prison inmates have now died from COVID-19. The prisoners who died include 58-year-old Stanley Smith, 60-year-old Mark Trammell, and 65-year-old Martin Duncan. It’s reported both Smith and Duncan had underlying health conditions. The South Carolina Department of Corrections announced they will not accept any new male inmates through the end of this month after three incoming prisoners all tested positive as well. They have all been put in quarantine. New female inmates will still be accepted at the Camille Graham Correctional Institution.
