Obstruction of Justice Appeal Denied for Sidney Moorer

The South Carolina Court of Appeals has denied Sidney Moorer’s request to overturn his obstruction of justice conviction. Moorer was found guilty of obstruction of justice, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping in September of last year. He was sentenced to 30 years in relation to the disappearance of 20-year-old Heather Elvis in 2013. It’s reported he changed his story when speaking to investigators about the last time he ever spoke to Elivs. He also omitted other relevant and crucial information in the case. His wife was also convicted of kidnapping Elvis.
