Almost Every U.S. State Now Seeing Rise in New COVID-19 Cases

Another day, another record-breaking high as the U.S. reported just over 50,200 new coronavirus cases yesterday nationwide. At least five states, Arizona, California, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, each also reported record numbers of new COVID-19 cases. At least 12 states are seeing rapidly increasing hospitalizations, this according to the director of the CDC. At least 23 states are now pausing or rolling back on their reopening plans, especially in anticipation for the 4th of July. American citizens are urged to avoid large gatherings this weekend as almost every state is reporting rising coronavirus numbers. The World Health Organization is now investigating reports of the U.S. hoarding remdesivir, the only known drug to help fight against COVID-19. The Department of Health and Human Services recently announced they gained control of almost all of the world’s supply, crediting President Trump for striking “an amazing deal”. The WHO said there are people all over the world who are sick and they are committed to ensuring everyone has equal access to the drug.
