Additional $562 Million Approved for SCDOT Pavement Plan

The South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission has just approved a $562 million dollar pavement plan. The money will be distributed among the state’s 46 counties. This will all be in addition to the 1.3 billion dollar road, bridge and safety projects SCDOT is currently carrying out as part of a ten-year plan to rebuild 661 miles of the state’s roads. The plan is currently in year three. The supplementary road reconstruction was approved as part of the 2020-2021 pavement improvement program.
