West Virginia Issues Travel Warning Against Myrtle Beach Area

An official travel warning has been issued against the Myrtle Beach area by West Virginia. It’s reported at least three counties there are investigating instances of COVID-19 outbreaks possibly originating in Myrtle Beach after numerous people tested positive following trips they took to the city. It’s still unclear if the cases started in Myrtle Beach, however many are saying this is a “wake-up call” for residents to take more precautions. Mayor Brenda Bethune said “We have not yet discussed any changes. However, we are monitoring the situation closely.”
