South Carolina Sees Another Record-Breaking Increase of COVID-19 Cases

DHEC announced yet another record-breaking single-day increase of COVID-19 cases in South Carolina. Almost 1,000 more people tested positive yesterday. This now brings the states total to 21,533 confirmed cases. The death toll also rose by four more people for a total of 621 lives lost. DHEC also came out yesterday saying recent increases in testing have yielded some surprising results. Out of 5,000 free screenings across the Grand Strand within the last few weeks, they found younger people are testing positive at a higher rate than the elderly population.
