Joe Biden to Accept Democratic Presidential Nomination Come August

Former Vice President Joe Biden is set to formally accept the democratic presidential nomination in August. The event is expected to take place in Milwaukee where a giant countdown clock has already been set in anticipation. Major details still continue to be hashed out but the overall consensus by organizers is that due to the pandemic, it will be scaled down and mostly digital. There will still be an in-person portion, however. The Democratic National Convention is scheduled for the week of August 17th. Meanwhile, possible vice presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar has removed herself from consideration. She said she made the decision in light of the recent protests in our country. She has suggested to Biden that he pick a woman of color as his running mate instead. She added, “There are so many incredibly qualified women, but if you want to heal this nation right now…this is a sure way to do it.”
