Next Three Weekends Declared “Extraordinary Events” in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach city leaders have declared the next three weekends as extraordinary events. Every Friday through Sunday, including 4th of July weekend, Myrtle Beach police will have the ability to “restrict traffic, ask for outside help, temporarily close businesses thought to be a risk to public safety” and enforce curfews. The decision was mainly made based off of recent crime within the area that included disturbances, fights, mass gatherings, nuisances and more.
