Trump Administration Sues John Bolton Over Soon to be Released Book

In a sudden escalation, the Trump Administration is now suing John Bolton in attempt to stop the publication of his book. The suit argues the former National Security Advisor’s 500-plus page manuscript has breached non-disclosure agreements and is risking national security by exposing highly classified information. It also claims Bolton avoided the White House vetting process required in order for the book’s release. However, Bolton said he has been fully cooperative and that the book underwent heavy and thorough edits. Bolton remains intent on getting his book published, despite the fact the White House has not signed off on it. Bolton’s publisher, Simon & Schuster, have said the lawsuit “is nothing more than the latest in a long running series of efforts by the Trump Administration to quash publication of a book it deems unflattering to the president.” The book has already been shipped to warehouses ahead of its release, which is scheduled for June 23rd.
