Coronavirus Cases Continue to Rise at Alarming Rates in 21 U.S. States

At least 21 states across the U.S. continue to see disturbing increases in coronavirus cases. Florida, Texas and Arizona are among the hardest hit states. Since Monday, all three have reported daily record-highs. Despite obvious concerns, it does not appear any of these state’s governors intend to shut down again. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said, “we’re going to advise, particularly our elderly population, to maintain social distancing and avoid crowds.” However, it has been reported that it is mainly young people who are are becoming infected. Furthermore, a new study has suggested flushing toilets could lead to catching COVID-19. It’s been documented that the virus can live in the digestive system and water flushed from a toilet can send particles into the air and become a form of transmission. Fortunately, it appears there has been a break-through on the vaccine front. New research suggests a widely available steroid drug called dexamethasone has reduced the risk of death by almost one third.
