Unrest, Violence, Deaths Continue Across the U.S.

Yesterday saw a lot of unrest, violence and even death as protests continue across the U.S. To start, in California, at least two black men have been found hanging from trees. On May 31st, 38-year-old Malcolm Harsch was found deceased. Then on Friday in Palmdale, Los Angeles County, the body of 24-year-old Robert Fuller was also found. Initially, both deaths were ruled suicides by local law enforcement which led to outrage by activists over the last few days as they believe these could be lynching incidents. California’s Attorney General and the FBI are now investigating these incidents. A shooting in Albuquerque last night over a controversial statue left one man in critical but stable condition. Vigilante groups protecting the statue may be responsible and all those involved have been detained. The city has also decided to remove the statue for public safety. In downtown Portland, a civil disturbance was declared and the area shutdown after an officer was injured by a thrown rock.
