Socastee Homeowners Plan Protest to End Constant Flooding

Socastee homeowners are planning to stage a protest in regards to the constant flooding crisis they’ve faced. Homeowners said their complaints have gone unheard by local and state officials. One person said she understood flooding as a result of hurricanes or other severe storms, but thousands of houses are flooding every time there is even rainfall. They’ve become frustrated by the lack of action and apathy county leaders have shown. They’ve scheduled the protest for July 6th at 8 a.m. in front of the Horry County Courthouse.
