Three Arrested, Charged in Relation to Local Drive-By Shootings

Three people have been charged following a series of drive-by shootings. 27-year-old Joshua Spain faces ten counts of attempted murder and numerous other serious charges after police were led to believe he was involved in three incidents on Palmetto Street, Kitty Lane, and HWY 548 back in April. It was noted Spain had a long history of arrests and was also charged with murder in 2018 but released on bond. Additionally, 23-year-old James Legette and 32-year-old Jamela McQueen also face multiple charges including attempted murder and accessory after the fact in relation to those drive-by shootings, as well as another that occurred on Family Lane. They are all currently in custody.
