Peaceful Protests Take Place Throughout Grand Strand

Nearly 100 people participated in a protest last night led by a high schooler and the Georgetown County Sheriff. The March began at 6 PM in Pawleys Island and they walked on a bike path along Highway 17. Sheriff Carter Weaver led the way with the organizer, a tenth grader named Eileen Carter. She said she felt inspired by Sunday’s peaceful protests and wanted to ensure more people’s voices could be heard. Another peaceful protest is going on now in North Myrtle Beach. It began at noon on Main Street.
