President Trump To Announce New Executive Order Following Twitter Feud

President Trump plans to announce an new executive order against social media companies today. This comes following several posts he wrote on Twitter in recent weeks regarding the conspiracy theory that Joe Scarborough may have been involved in the death of a former staffer in 2001. Lori Klausutis’ cause of death was confirmed to be a result of an undiagnosed heart condition. An impassioned letter addressed to the CEO of Twitter by Lori’s widowed husband asked them to remove the insensitive tweets. Twitter did not remove them, however they did fact-check two different tweets by the president regarding mail-in voting. The president then made ominous threats saying he would “use the power of the federal government” to go so far as to shut them down. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany confirmed yesterday he does intend to unveil a new executive order today.
