Shooting at NAS Corpus Christi Confirmed To Be Terror-Related
It was determined a shooting at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas yesterday was terror-related. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Adam Alsahli. Around 6:15 AM, he drove up to a gate entrance at the station and shot a security force member in the chest. He then accelerated through the gate and crashed into a barrier. Upon exiting his vehicle, he engaged in a shoot out with other naval security forces and was killed as a result. Fortunately, the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries as she was wearing a bullet proof vest at the time. Upon further investigation, it was determined Alsahli’s motives were terror-related. His social media showed evidence he supported terrorist organizations such as ISIS and Al Qaeda. The FBI has said “The public should remain calm, and if you see something, say something.” They believe a second person of interest may still be at large.
