$41 Million Skate, Surf, Amphitheater Park Coming to Myrtle Beach
The city of Myrtle Beach has approved construction for a $41 million surf and skate amphitheater park. 20 acres of land between the sports center and Grissom Parkway will go to American Surf Parks. It will include a surf lagoon, a skate park, climbing walls and even a child care center. The company has agreed to a 15-year lease and the city estimates the park will bring in roughly $450,000 a year. Construction is expected to begin sometime in 2021.
