At Least Five Injured Following Shooting in Crowded Texas Park
At least five people were shot last night at a park in Texas. Village Creek Park in Fort Worth was the site for a 600-person party in defiance of the coronavirus pandemic. Around 6:30 PM about 30 shots were fired following a fireworks show. Two victims were critically injured while the other three suffered non-life threatening injuries. Fort Worth Parks remains open at this time, however the city has urged residents to maintain social distancing in their green spaces. Texas ended their stay at home order on May 1st. No additional information was given by local police including names or descriptions for possible suspects. The names of the victims also currently remain unknown. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Worth Police Departments Gang Unit and other federal partners.
