Man Seen Wearing Ku Klux Klan Hood While Grocery Shopping

A disturbing photo of a man who appears to be wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood while grocery shopping has been circulating the internet. The photo was taken at a Vons grocery store in Santee, California just after San Diego County required all residents to wear some sort of face covering while out in public. It’s been reported the customer ignored several requests by employees to remove the hood as he went about his errand. It’s unclear if he was allowed to checkout while wearing the offensive face covering or if he was eventually forced to remove it at all. Vons said in a statement, “This was a disturbing incident for our associates and customers, and we are reviewing with our team how to best handle such inappropriate situations in the future.” The incident is also under investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department who are considering pressing criminal charges. The city of Santee has a history of white supremacist activity which has earned it the nickname “Klantee”.
