Foreclosures, Evictions to Resume on May 15th

The South Carolina Supreme Court has announced evictions and foreclosures will resume on May 15th.  The order was signed into law yesterday and includes all currently ordered and scheduled evictions statewide which have been on hold since March 18th. Additionally, the court will begin accepting new applications for evictions and foreclosures. In-person hearings regarding these issues will be held in compliance with certain social distancing restrictions, however they will only be held on a case by case basis. The majority of hearings will take place remotely.
