Local Restaurant Receives Warning After Disobeying Governor’s Orders
A restaurant in North Myrtle Beach was given an official warning after defying orders and opening their outdoor seating. Buoys on the Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach has been serving curbside pick up like every other restaurant during this time. However, owner Weldon Boyd feared it wasn’t enough. So he decided to open up four outdoor seating areas, spaced several feet apart. It was met with many mixed reactions. However, city leaders deemed his actions may spark others to do the same. Boyd was issued a warning by police earlier this morning. If he was to continue, he would be stripped of his business license. Boyd has since returned to curbside pick-up.
