Two People Seriously Injured Following Shooting in Laurinburg

Police in Laurinburg are investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday evening. It’s reported the two victims were in a gold Nissan Rogue on U.S. 401 and West Boulevard stopped at a red light when a silver Dodge Charger pulled up alongside them. According to police, “words were exchanged” between the occupants of both vehicles before someone in the Dodge Charger began firing shots into the Nissan. The suspects in the Dodge Charger then fled the scene. An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were seriously injured as a result and had to be airlifted to a hospital.
