Series of Tornadoes in South Kill At Least Six People

Multiple tornadoes hit the south last night and killed at least six people. Dozens more are also seriously injured. The severe flooding, golf ball sized hail, and flying debris caused by the storms also led to extensive damage in numerous towns throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Louisiana. The devastation in one Texas county forced them to issue a disaster declaration. So far, it’s been reported upwards of 50 buildings and homes have been damaged or destroyed and more than 88,000 people are without power. Emergency crews are working hard to recover any survivors and victims of the storms. The National Weather Service has not determined the severity of the tornadoes just yet, but it’s believed there were at least 25 of them. It’s only predicted to get worse going into today and tomorrow as more storms are expected to hit even more states who are already overwhelmed by last week’s tornadoes and the pandemic.
