Officer-Involved Shooting Ends in Suspect’s Death

One person is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Florence. Last night on the 700 Block of Ventura Court, gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and a Florence police officer. The suspect was confirmed killed as a result but there were no other injuries reported. It’s currently unknown why law enforcement initially responded to the residence where the incident occurred. The case has now been handed over to SLED for further investigation.
