South Carolina Beaches, Stores Might Reopen This Week
For the first time in weeks, DHEC reported a drop in coronavirus cases in South Carolina. The state had seen a daily rise by over 1,200 cases but yesterday saw only 1,064. As a result, Governor McMaster has begun talking about lifting certain COVID-19 restrictions. This includes restoring access to some public beaches and reopening retail stores by as early as this week. While multiple counties and businesses will be still be working to maintain social distancing orders, many are hopeful they will be able to return to their normal lives soon.
