Shooting Rampage in Canada Leaves At Least 16 Dead
A shooting rampage in Nova Scotia, Canada has left at least 16 people dead over the weekend. The suspect, 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, opened fired in a home late Saturday evening where he killed multiple people. One of the first victims was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer and it was believed Wortman stole her uniform and vehicle and was on the run dressed as law enforcement. What followed was a 12-hour shooting rampage spanning 60 miles as Wortman traveled to several other residences and took more lives.
Finally, Wortman was found at a truck stop in Enfield around 11 AM yesterday. Following a police-involved shoot-out, Wortman was killed. An investigation is now underway into the incident. Wortman’s motives presently remain unknown as it’s believed some victims may have had a relationship with Wortman and some didn’t. This was one of the deadliest shooting’s in Canadian history.
