“One World: Together at Home” Concert Raises $128 Million
The “One World: Together at Home” concert over the weekend raised at least $128 million for coronavirus relief efforts. The 8-hour long event was spearheaded by Lady Gaga and produced by Global Citizen. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert hosted the concert which featured performances by over 40 prolific artists including Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Jennifer Lopez and many, many more. The show also highlighted real stories of coronavirus front line workers. The event was streamed on numerous platforms by over 14.6 million viewers and is being deemed the largest virtual gathering of major artists, measuring up to the Live Aid concert in 1985. Proceeds from the event will go entirely to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
