New Jersey Police Find Pile of 17 Bodies in Nursing Home

An anonymous tip led police to a disturbing discovery of 17 bodies inside a New Jersey nursing home. The tip informed law enforcement that the nursing home had become so overwhelmed with deaths they had stored bodies in a shed outside the facility. When police arrived they did not find any bodies in the shed, however they did find 17 bodies stacked on top of each other in the nursing home morgue that only has a capacity of four. Many of them were not tested for the virus, but it’s assumed that is what they passed from. It’s believed the facility was short-staffed and overwhelmed which is what led to the incident. Since then, thirteen bodies have been moved to refrigerated trucks outside a nearby hospital with the remaining four sent to a funeral home. Families have reported they received little to no notice of their family member’s conditions. The governor has called for a statewide investigation to make sure something like this does not happen again.
