Unemployment Benefits to Receive More Money Starting This Week
We have some good news for the hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians who have filed for unemployment. On top of the benefits you are already receiving, you will also be given an additional $600 a week. South Carolina is currently one of the first ten states to introduce this increased relief as part of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or ‘CARES Act’. Before, residents would see an maximum of $326 a week and now you could be seeing upwards of $926 a week.
