South Carolina Coronavirus Death Toll Surpasses 100
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in South Carolina has surpassed 100 with over 3,600 confirmed cases. Yesterday saw a total increase of cases by 105 people. Almost 11,000 tests have been conducted across the state and while the majority tested negative, over 1,300 people were positive. Hospitals are slowly starting to become overwhelmed as more beds are being utilized than are available. DHEC has also confirmed that one out of every three cases in the state is an African American patient but more than half of the deaths reported were in that demographic.
