Warrants Issued For False Claims of Coronavirus

Hartsville police have issued three warrants for people who falsely claimed to have coronavirus. In a statement on their Facebook page, the department confirmed they received multiple calls from several different businesses where people had entered their buildings claiming to have the virus but didn’t care and were ignoring orders. Lieutenant Mark Blair said the incidences were comparable to screaming “fire” in a crowded building. Each suspect will be charged with aggravated breach of peace.
