Local Restaurant Donates Money on Walls to Employees

One North Myrtle Beach restaurant is giving back to their employees while they’re out of work. It’s tradition that visitors of Hamburger Joe’s hang money on the walls. Now after 30 years, the owners are taking every single bill down. They hope once they count it to have close to $10,000 which they will allocate amongst their out-of-work employees within the next few weeks. Manager Richard Brooks said, “normally we give [the money] to charity…this time charity starts at home and we are going to take care of our employees as best as we can.”
