Coronavirus Cases Worldwide Surpasses Two Million

As coronavirus cases surpass two million worldwide, the U.S. has again recorded it’s deadliest day yet yesterday at 2,405. Presently, there are over 614,000 cases in the U.S. and all 50 states have now reported at least one death as the grand total rises above 26,000. Despite these bleak numbers, U.S. health officials believe we have begun to see the number of cases leveling off. But Dr. Anthony Fauci has warned states not to ease restrictions just yet. Trends have shown countries who have done so experienced multiple severe flare ups afterwards. California Governor Gavin Newsom says it’s science, not politics, that will dictate when states can reopen again and is more than willing to heed Dr. Fauci’s warnings in order to save lives. However, new projections by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health say unless a vaccine becomes quickly available, we may have to adhere to social distancing standards until 2022. It’s a study that has made many Americans very uneasy.
