State Leaders, Law Enforcement Working Hard During Pandemic

Almost 3,500 people have contracted coronavirus in South Carolina with 87 deaths. Governor McMaster is reportedly hard at work forming his own economic stimulation plan. He said people’s safety will come first but wants to assist the state’s over 180,000 unemployed. He hasn’t announce plans to join a regional coalition, though. Meanwhile, local police are busy enforcing recent restrictions. This includes giving citations for unlawful assembly after two men hosted multiple parties that were attended by dozens. Horry County police have also just set up an email specifically for coronavirus-related questions. They can be reached at compliance@horrycounty.org.
