U.S. Now Most Impacted Country by Coronavirus

For the first time in history, all 50 states are simultaneously under disaster declarations as the U.S. death toll reaches nearly 23,000.  President Trump is still expressing hope to re-open the country and have the economy up and running again as soon as may first. However, this seems more and more unlikely as the U.S. reported extremely distressing numbers over the weekend. The U.S. holds the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world with over 564,000. Spain holds second place with a drastic difference of almost 170,000 cases. Not only that, but we now also have the highest number of coronavirus-related deaths after we surpassed Italy a few days ago. It was a particularly hard day in California as the FBI discovered a stockpile of 39 million masks was proven to be “an elaborate scheme” to make money. A labor union promised they would provide the essential PPE to health care workers. When the FBI attempted to raid the stash, they found there wasn’t even a warehouse, let alone a stash, to seize.
