Social Distance Defiance Party Ends in Gunfire

A party in California attended by hundreds trying to defy social distancing orders came to an abrupt end on Saturday after shots were fired. Kern County deputies responded to an apartment complex in Bakersfield after a concerned witness called to report the gathering which is believed to have been attended by upwards of 400 people. When they arrived, police discovered six victims, which included five adults and a juvenile female, all sustained gunshot wounds. They were hospitalized and one currently remains in critical condition. A further investigation revealed 94 bullet casings and three live rounds in total were found at the scene.
Police have reported none of the victims will cooperate with the investigation but believe four men who drove away in a white Sedan are responsible. No arrests have been made and they are seeking the public’s help in finding these unidentified males.
