Samuel Adams Offers Financial Relief for Restaurant Workers

Samuel Adams is offering some relief to restaurant employees impacted by the pandemic. The Boston-based brewery partnered with the Greg Hill Foundation around mid-March to create the “Restaurant Strong Fund”. In the first week they raised over $500,000 dollars from 2,000 different donors. They were able to distribute $1,000 each to restaurant workers across the state who applied for the grant. But the company thought they could do more and so they expanded the program to include 19 more states.  So far almost $2.7 million dollars has been raised for the fund. To qualify you must be “an individual whose worked at a restaurant, bar, cafe or nightclub located in one of the 20 states, been a full-time employee, and employed for three months or longer at the same location.” You are also required to submit your last two pay stubs as proof. The application deadline to do so is April 30th.
