Joe Biden Likely to Become Next Democratic Presidential Nominee

Yesterday, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced he is suspending his presidential campaign. Just a week prior, it was announced the democratic convention was moving from mid-July to August 17th. But in light of Sanders’ announcement, people are demanding democrats cancel the convention altogether. With only a single candidate vying for the spot, many believe a convention is no longer necessary and canceling would be better and safer for everyone’s overall health. Meanwhile, the effects of the coronavirus on the economy has left many republicans fearful. A great and strong economy is the platform President Trump has run on and championed. Now, with no clear end in sight for the pandemic, and no clear end to economic hardships, this could be the beginning of the end for the Trump presidency.
