Major League Baseball Could Return as Early as May
One of the first things to go when the virus became prominent in the U.S. was sports. but now Major League Baseball is considering returning to the field sooner than you think. The MLB has been working with the CDC and even The National Institute of Health to come up with plans to resume practices and even begin playing games by May. The plans involve all thirty teams playing games in Arizona at this point. It could lead to a large nationally televised deal as millions of Americans desperately search for ways to keep themselves occupied while in isolation. Of course there’s a lot that needs to happen before anything becomes official. Specifics such as where and how teams will play against each other while still maintaining social distancing needs to be ironed out. And more importantly, the Players Union would need to sign off on the idea.
