Deaths From Coronavirus in U.S. Surpasses 1,000
The number of infectious COVID-19 cases in the U.S. has surpassed 65,000 now with 1,046 deaths. A leading epidemiologist expects these numbers to continue to get worse, reaching their peak in three weeks. They’ve also predicted at that point the only thing we’ll be able to do is isolate the most vulnerable in order to protect them. The epicenter of the breakout remains to be New York who have almost half of all confirmed cases and who reported yesterday the cases are more than doubling every three days. The pentagon approved a freeze order signed into effect by the U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper. It would restrict the movement of all U.S. troops overseas for the next 60 days. Anyone who was scheduled to return home over the next two months will not be able to do so. It’s been reported exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. The freeze-in-place is predicted to affect approximately 90,000 service members.
