Kansas Schools to Be Closed for the Rest of the Year
The state of Kansas has ordered all k through 12 schools to close for the remainder of the year.
Governor Laura Kelly says the decision was made as the state continues it’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. Several school districts already had extended spring breaks and colleges and universities had moved to online instruction for the rest of the semester as well. Kansas has at least 18 confirmed cases as covid-19 continues to spread. During a news conference yesterday, Kelly said unprecedented circumstances threaten the safety of our students and the professionals who work with them every day.”
