U.S. Officials Working Towards Coronavirus Relief
The coronavirus has the world facing unprecedented economical and political fallout. The biggest concern, besides catching the virus, is the lack of testing kits in the U.S. There are not enough tests being produced to meet with demand and many states are putting restrictions on those who can get tested. Many also are unable to afford it. The next major concern are the hits the economy has been taking as fears continue to escalate. The stock market was once again halted for 15 minutes yesterday following yet another historic drop in the Dow. Presently, there are at least 1,665 cases across 47 states and this number is expected to grow exponentially. At least 41 people have died. Washington, California, New York and Massachusetts have been hit hardest with more than a dozen states declaring states of emergencies. Top negotiators in the U.S. are tirelessly working on coronavirus relief proposals. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she’s hopeful some sort of agreement can be reached today.
