Response to Coronavirus Outbreak is Unprecedented

The response to the growing number of coronavirus cases is also unprecedented. President Trump was potentially exposed after meeting with the Brazilian President’s Press Secretary who was unknowingly infected. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife has tested positive and both have been place under a two week quarantine. Senator Lindsay Graham is now in self-quarantine as well for the next two weeks after discovering he has also been exposed. And the U.S. Capitol has announced it’s closing its doors to the general public for the next two weeks. Businesses are closed and entire cities look like ghost towns. Shoppers are panic buying supplies such as toilet paper, disinfectants and non-perishable foods and completely wiping out entire shelves. Millions of students are out of school. March Madness and other major sporting events have canceled their entire seasons. Concerts, and other large gatherings are canceled or postponed. Disney World and Disneyland, which rarely ever closed, are also closing their parks for an unknown period of time.
