Harvey Weinstein Suffers Possible Concussion in Jail
Harvey Weinstein’s publicist confirmed he has been injured while at Rikers Island jail. The 67-year-old convicted rapist is believed to have suffered a concussion after a dizzy spell led him to fall. He doesn’t walk steadily and isn’t allowed a walker in jail which also may have attributed to his fall. The concussion has not been officially diagnosed, but that is what Weinstein has reported he believes happened to him as “his head throbs all the time”. This comes just days after Weinstein was released from Bellevue hospital and officially transferred to Rikers Island prison as he awaits his sentencing set for tomorrow. Weinstein’s publicist also confirmed that he has “had a lot of time to think about his life and what he’s done,” and that, “he said he wasn’t a nice guy and that’s how he got here.” In anticipation for tomorrow, Weinstein’s lawyers are reportedly begging the court for leniency, citing his recent ailments and previous charitable work as good reasons.
