In the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak, health officials say not to touch your face. But, that’s easier said than done. So, why is it so hard to stop this common habit? For most people it’s a subconscious routine. To break free from doing it, try to keep your hands busy. Use a stress ball or something small you can fidget with. Enlist a friend to help you point out when you’re doing it. Also, pay attention to your triggers like nail biting and be mindful when you feel the urge to do so.
