Grand Strand Hospitals Limit Access to Public Entrances
Grand Strand medical centers will be limiting access to their public entrances as fears continue to rise over the coronavirus. Effective yesterday afternoon, the public will only be allowed to enter through the emergency room entrances and main entrances of hospitals. Visiting hours will also be restricted. Those who do come through will be subjected to screening in the form of a questionnaire. Health officials say it is necessary to determine if anyone may have recently come into contact with the virus and ensure there is no accidental exposure to either patients or other health care providers. It’s been reported that 13 people are currently being monitored for the virus in South Carolina, however there are no confirmed cases.
