Mother of “Baby Boy Horry” Arrested Before Turning Herself In
After more than a decade, the mother of “Baby Boy Horry” was identified and arrested. An arrest warrant for 32-year-old Jennifer Sahr was issued yesterday. Sahr was a student at CCU in 2008 when Baby Boy Horry was abandoned in the woods inside a bag. His case went cold but thanks to new scientific evidence, police were able to determine his biological parents. For the time being, however, they’ve only released the mother’s information. Sahr is charged with homicide by child abuse. She was apprehended in North Myrtle Beach by the Carolina Regional Fugitive U.S. Marshals Task Force yesterday evening. She was with her husband and two young children at the time. It’s reported she traveled from Florida and planned to turn herself in. She was arrested without incident and awaits a bond hearing later today. Sahr faces life in prison.
