North Carolina Man Arrested For Stabbing, Seriously Injuring Victim

A Fairmont man was arrested and charged after stabbing a victim over a monetary dispute. Police were called to the 14000 Block of Highway 41 South on Friday where they found the victim had sustained multiple stab wounds. They were reported to be in serious condition and transported to a nearby hospital. James Thompson, 57, was officially charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and misdemeanor larceny. He is currently detained at the Robeson County Detention Center on $250,000 bond. The victim remains in serious condition.
